On Saturday, March 8, 2013 the SHS cheerleading team competed at the CIAC State Cheer tournament in New Haven and placed 3rd overall in the co-ed division. As the second runner up in this division of 17 teams, we will proudly represent both Southington and Connecticut at the New England Regional Cheerleading Competition in Lawrence, Mass next Saturday. This is the first time in the entire history of the program that we have placed this far (the state competition has been held for 18+ years now).

-6th Annual CCC Cheerleading Competition on February 2, 2013 - Varsity 1st Place Western Division, 2nd overall
-10th Annual Windsor Warrior Challenge Cheerleading Competition on February 16, 2013 - Varsity 1st Place and Grand Champions; Junior Varsity 2nd Place
-17th Annual Chief Challenge Competition on February 23, 2013 - Varsity 1st Place, 2nd overall, Best Incorporation of Tumbling; Junior Varsity 2nd Place
-New England Open Cheer & Dance Championships on March 2, 2013 - Varsity 2nd Place; Junior Varsity 2nd Place
