Coach Jim DiNello; SHS Varsity Golf
Coach DiNello is entering his 4th season as the Southington High School Head Golf Coach and his 9th season as the Head Coach of a varsity golf program. He was a head coach at Berlin High School for 5 years from _1998 to 2002. During those five seasons in Berlin Coach DiNello compiled a record of 99 wins and one loss in match play. His teams also won 4 state championships, 5 league championships, 5 Northwest Conference championships and one invitational championship. During his three years here, Coach DiNello’s teams have qualified for the state tournament each year and have finished as high as 11th in the state for Division 1. His total record now stands at 116-28 and 4. Jim is a sixth grade science teacher at John F. Kennedy Middle School and is also the Head Varsity Men’s Basketball Coach at Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford. He resides in town with his wife Sherri and two sons Matthew and James.
